It is your 3rd birthday. You will enter 4th year now. This birthday was special in many ways. Firstly, now when you have completed three years, you are so understanding in many ways. You know it is your birthday celebration and you really enjoyed it. Your shopping, you cake, your dress everything was as per your liking. Secondly, It was the birthday which you celebrated away from Vadodara, although its not a big deal. Third, it was Nani’s house Birthday and this made it super special.

Being rainy season and Vadodara reeling under flood conditions, it was an adventurous journey from Vadodara to Kolkata. I took very early flight from Ahmedabad and reached to you at 11:15 AM. Your reaction as always on my arrival was so cute and unique, you almost flew to me as soon as you came to know about my arrival. Then it was your masti time with me-

We went to shop for your cake, dress and shoes at evening. Mom picked up some beautiful dresses. Then it was the cake cutting time with Nana, Nani, Mami. Mama arrived late at night, but well prepared for you birthday-

You devoured the cake till you were full. Then hardest part of the routine came: sleeping.

On 5th Aug, it was your Bday special celebration at the Nana-Nani place. It was a grand party for the relatives. in the morning i too went for shopping the vegetables and few other items. Another cake was ready for you. Anyway cake cutting is your favourite thing. This time cake was bigger and cuter. It was a big family gathering and a lot of gifts came in for you. You were dressed in a frock and were looking so beautiful. We too tried to match you:-)

Most fun part was the magic candle as you were at all not impressed with so many candles which were igniting at their own. You almost left the idea of cake cutting on seeing the magic candle. But we removed them from the cake to convince you finally. It was the best part of whole celebration. Then came your greedy moment- till we were preparing for the cake cutting, you decided to taste the cake. When we asked you not to do so, you told us it was your happy bday. everyone laughed their heart out. Then came your cake cutting and eating. Yes, you cut the cake and decided to eat it yourself. Everyone else standing there, you started picking the chocolate part of the cake and enjoying it.

Soon cake cutting was over and feast started. As usual, you and I ate together. It was a fantastic cake cutting ceremony. So many nice gifts you received.

In the evening another cake was waiting for you, but we decided to postpone it to the 6th Aug to make another day special for you. So again you cut total three cakes as you did on your second birthday.

With this birthday, you completed your 3 year. What a journey it has been: laughter, tears, cold-wars, heated arguments and anger what not we have shared together. You made this life of ours so different. There have been tough moments and then there have been treasuring moments. But to be very true, you are very very nice kid. Hardly you threw tantrums for any thing. making you understand something has been very easy. As you grow up, expectations of this world, family and people around you will also grow with you. Never feel buried under these expectation, always remember that the more you live up to the expectations, the bigger they get next time. So it is Ok to fail someone’s expectation be it me, mom and anyone. It is ok sometimes to say, listen cant do more than this. It is ok to stop and breath if you feel so. Have your own pace, own speed, own liking-disliking. Try not to overstep at the territory of others emotions, feelings. Take your liberty and enjoy but remember not to disrupts anyone else. It is not always necessary to be first. it is not always necessary to win the race. whatever!!!!!!!!! 🙂

In the end it was fantastic birthday. Tomorrow we will leave for Eden City. But i will stay with you for full one week. We will have great time together. a lot of fun.
